Length from withers to base of tail approximately the same as from ground to withers.
UK Standard
Body: The Breed Standard calls for the length of the back from point of withers to base of tail to be the same, or slightly less than, from point of withers to ground.
USA Standard
Silhouette. The SCWT is square. Hopefully the eye can discern a square outline. If not one must look for static balance wherein there is equal length “withers to ground” and ”chest (prosternum) to rump (ischium)”.
